Immediately following surgery:
Wear your sunglasses or sleeping goggles for the first 24 hours inside and outside. Go directly home and keep eyes closed in the car. You can take Tylenol PM immediately after treatment. Wear your eye shields and take a 3-4 hour nap.
What to expect:
You will experience burning, tearing, stinging and your vision will be “blurry” for approximately 4 hours after treatment. It is also normal to experience redness in the whites of the eyes following treatment. It is NORMAL to have your vision fluctuate from day to day. It can take between 3-6 months for the eyes to stabilize after treatment.
Drop Instructions:
Take as directed unless medication allergy. WAIT 5 MINS BETWEEN DROPS.
Prednisolone-Moxifloxacin (compounded antibiotic/steroid-included)
SHAKE WELL before each use. Use 1 drop in each treated eye 4 times per day for 7 days after treatment.
Klarity Artificial Tears (preservative free)
Day 1: Use 1 drop in each treated eye every 30 minutes while awake.
Next day: use 1 drop in each treated eye every 1-2 hours you are awake for 1 month.
Continue using tears 4 times per day for at least month 2 & 3 after treatment.
HydroEye Capsules
Take two capsules two times per day with food as directed.
Restrictions following surgery:
- Sleep in eye shields/sunglasses for 3 days.
- No swimming for 1 week (including hot tubs and saunas). 2nd week wear swimming goggles
- No eye makeup for 1 week.
- No scuba diving/sky diving/rollercoasters for 2 weeks.
- No cosmetic contact lenses for 1 month.
- No eye rubbing for 1 month.
