Frank Rosenbaum M.D., a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist with 40 years of practice, has performed more than 50,000 vision correction procedures, including complex cases in cataract, LASIK, and corneal transplantation.
A Midwest native, Dr. Rosenbaum developed one of most recognized refractive practices in Michigan as an early pioneer with the LASIK procedure. In 1996, he submitted his LASIK surgical data as a member of the CRS-USA FDA approval study under the leadership of Charles Casebeer MD. In 2001, he was the first refractive surgeon in the country to utilize and publish his experience with pre-Vue cards for retreatment of patients with unacceptable visual outcomes to remedy their blurred vision. In 2005, Dr. Rosenbaum opened the first AAAHC approved “in office” sterile surgical suite for intraocular procedures in the USA.
Throughout his career, he has enjoyed teaching and has served as the primary instructor ophthalmologist as Clinical Assistant Professor for both Michigan State College of Human Medicine and the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
In 2021, he and his wife moved to Colorado to be closer to their only son. Besides being with family and friends, he enjoys swimming, golf, and biking.
